Our Palooza had an environmental section this year. Did you know:
* One ton of paper towels requires 17 trees, over 350 gallons of oil, and a lot of landfill space.
* In the USA alone, 6,500,000 tons of paper towels are sent to landfills each year. The decay of paper products produce methane gas which is 28 times more potent than carbon dioxide.
*Cling wrap is no different to most plastics and can take anywhere from 10 years or hundreds of years to decompose.
